Your mindset really controls everything because your mindset is your current thinking pattern. This thinking pattern is made up of all the thoughts and all the beliefs that you’ve accumulated ever since you were a little kid. Right up to this point in your life. Whether we want to believe it or not, we have created our lives up to now. If you’re not happy where you are, the good news is that you can change it, IF you change your thinking pattern.
Most of us have been in a default thinking mode so we haven’t consciously chosen our thoughts and therefore we haven’t consciously chosen our current situation. Yeah, this is true.
To help you understand the connection between your mindset and your visibility, ask yourself the following questions and write down your answers.
- What are your thoughts about visibility?
- When someone mentions visibility, what goes through your head?
- What is visibility to you?
This exercise is meant to simply get you thinking about what you think about your visibility. You can’t change your thinking pattern if you don’t even know what you are thinking.
There is a direct correlation between what you think about yourself and what shows up in your life and whether you choose to be visible or not. One of the big reasons people are afraid to be visible is because they are afraid. They are afraid of failure or that other people won’t like them or accept them. The list can go on and on. Many of these fears are rooted in our childhood and are based on an experience we endured that made us feel “less than.” We carry this feeling into adulthood. Fear is the enemy of success. In future blogs, I will share some ideas on how to deal with the fears that hold us back from what we want in life.
